Tip: de-clutter closets

closet colorIt is often less difficult to let go of things if you know they will be used by others or that the donation will support a worthy cause.
Donate them to your favorite charity so that your gently worn clothes, kitchen items, tools etc. can be enjoyed by someone less fortunate. You will be doing a good deed and clearing the clutter at the same time.

Goodwill Industries (www.goodwill.org),
Society of St. Vincent de Paul (www.svdpusa.org), and
Dress for Success (www.dressforsuccess.org).

  • If you have something that is more rare, such as signed art, or designer clothing you may consider donating to a special event such as a charity auction or your old elementary school library. Be creative.
